The bulk of the earnings came from several crypto businesses tied to Trump and his family. Records show he received approximately $635 million in royalties through a licensing agreement linked to “Celebration Coins” operated by CIC Digital LLC. He also reported $525 million from token sales conducted by World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency company launched with the involvement of his sons, along with $65 million from the sale of equity in the venture. Another $196 million was generated through a transaction involving a stablecoin.
While Trump’s crypto enterprises produced substantial revenue, some investors in the associated digital assets experienced steep losses. The $TRUMP memecoin, backed by the Trump Organization and a company associated with Trump ally Fight Fight Fight, fell sharply from about $74 in January 2025 to roughly $1.72 by July 2026. Similarly, the $WLFI token declined from $0.45 in August 2025 to around $0.05 by the end of June 2026.
Not all of the projects moved in the same direction. USD1, a stablecoin developed by World Liberty Financial, has grown significantly, with more than $4.5 billion worth of tokens currently in circulation, according to market-tracking data.
Because many details surrounding Trump’s crypto holdings remain undisclosed, the full extent of his profits from ventures such as the $TRUMP memecoin project is still unclear.
Responding to questions about the president’s cryptocurrency income, White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said Trump has worked to position the United States as a global leader in digital assets through executive actions, support for crypto-related legislation, and policies aimed at encouraging innovation and economic growth.
